water management
“When the well is dry, we know the worth of water.”
Benjamin Franklin

Running out of water?
The annual average surface air temperature in Ireland has increased by almost 1°C over the last 120 years (Met Éireann) and in coming years is expected to rise during all seasons, with more intense and longer heatwaves.
This may not sound like a lot, and good news to some, but climate change coupled with a 7.6% increase in the population since the 2016 census (over 5 million people and growing), plus excessive use, is putting a strain on water sustainability.
We owe it to our children and grandchildren to get on top of this now, as it is they who will pay the price for our excesses - not exactly a great legacy!
